Keeping our Personal Lives and Careers in Balance

Wow!  Does anyone else feel like it was just yesterday that we flipped the calendar over to January?  Part of the reason our world flies by so fast is that we are so engulfed in our careers and keeping up with our families, that there isn’t any more free time.  In fact, I ran across this article discussing the challenges we face in the PR world because we must be at the demand of others at every possible time of day. I thought the point about putting down the telephone when you are doing a family function is hard to live by in our always-accessible society.  I also suggest setting boundaries and defining expectations between you and your clients can resolve stress and provide deliverables to both sides of the business relationship.  Check out the PR News online article by Carrie Fox for some tips to keep things in balance.
